At Peeksy, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit peeksy.space or use our services, including our link shortener, OG image generator, SEO audit tools, SDK, MCP Server, and REST API.

Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways when you use the Service:

• Account Data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up via a social provider (Google, GitHub), we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider.
• Link & Content Data: URLs you shorten, OG images you generate, SEO audit results, and any metadata you configure (titles, descriptions, custom slugs).
• Analytics Data: When someone clicks a Peeksy link, we collect the visitor's IP address (anonymized after 30 days), referrer URL, country, device type, browser, and timestamp.
• Usage Data: Information our servers automatically collect, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and pages viewed within the dashboard.
• Payment Data: If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number.

AI & Automated Processing

Peeksy uses AI models to generate Open Graph images and suggest copy for your links. When you use these features:

• The destination page's publicly available metadata (title, description, favicon) is sent to our AI pipeline to generate images and suggestions.
• Generated images are stored on our infrastructure and served via CDN.
• We do not use your content or generated images to train AI models.

Edge Processing & Infrastructure

Peeksy runs on Cloudflare's global edge network. When visitors click a Peeksy link, the redirect is handled at the nearest Cloudflare edge node. Analytics data is processed and stored using Cloudflare Workers and D1. Your data may be processed in multiple geographic regions as part of normal edge computing operations.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (link shortening, OG image generation, SEO audits, analytics).
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, usage alerts).
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service.
• Detect, prevent, and address abuse or fraudulent activity.
• Respond to your support requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Cloudflare: Infrastructure and edge computing (data processing agreement in place).
• Stripe: Payment processing.
• Transactional email provider: For sending account-related emails.
• Law enforcement: When required by law or to protect our rights.

Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Analytics for clicked links are collected server-side without placing cookies on the visitor's device. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion.
• Link analytics are retained for the duration of your subscription plan.
• Visitor IP addresses are anonymized after 30 days.
• Generated OG images are retained as long as the associated link exists.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. API authentication uses JWT bearer tokens. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
